Product Description

The 3300/16-15-01-03-00-00-02 is a dual-channel radial vibration monitoring module for the Bently Nevada 3300 rack system. It is engineered to provide high-accuracy displacement measurements from proximity (eddy current) transducers. This module is critical for machinery protection on high-speed, fluid-film bearing assets, enabling real-time monitoring of shaft movement and preventing rotor-to-stator contact.

The “15” option denotes Danger Bypass and Internal Termination capabilities, allowing safe testing and calibration without initiating trips. Its dual-channel design supports XY radial pairs or two independent radial measurement points, making it ideal for orbit analysis and early detection of unbalance, misalignment, or oil whirl conditions.

Application Scenarios

  • Centrifugal compressors

  • Steam turbines

  • Large motor-driven pumps

  • Oil & gas, power generation, and chemical processing plants

This module allows operators to observe shaft orbits and monitor vibration trends in real time, providing critical protection against catastrophic rotor-to-stator contact.

Reliability & Operational FAQ

What does the Danger Bypass feature do?

  • Allows testing or calibration of sensors without initiating a machine trip. This ensures safe maintenance while the machine remains online.

Does the module include self-diagnostics?

  • Yes. The built-in “NOT OK” circuitry continuously monitors transducer bias. If a sensor fails or a cable disconnects, the OK LED turns off and the alarm/trip relays are inhibited to prevent false trips.

Why use dual-channel monitoring?

  • Enables XY shaft orbit analysis or redundant measurements at separate points, improving fault detection and machinery protection.
