The 140CRA93200 is a Remote I/O (RIO) Drop Adapter for the Modicon Quantum platform by Schneider Electric. It functions as the communication interface between a remote I/O rack and the central Field Control Station (FCS), enabling deterministic data exchange over a coaxial S908 RIO network.

By decentralizing I/O modules, the 140CRA93200 significantly reduces field wiring while maintaining reliable, high-speed communication. The module features dual female “F” connectors to support redundant coaxial topologies. If one cable path fails, the adapter automatically switches to the secondary path, ensuring uninterrupted process control.
