The Bently Nevada 3500/15 114M5330-01 is a Low Voltage DC Power Supply module designed for the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System. This module converts an input voltage of 20 V to 30 V DC into the regulated DC voltages required by other modules within the 3500 rack.

Features

  • Half-height module design occupying two dedicated slots on the left side of the 3500 rack.
  • Supports redundant configurations: two power supplies can be installed in a single rack, with the lower slot acting as the primary and the upper as the backup.
  • Hot-swappable capability: modules can be removed or inserted without disrupting rack operation, provided a second supply is active.
  • Requires a 114M5335-01 Power Input Module (PIM) installed directly behind the supply for physical power interface and fusing.
  • Wide operating temperature range suitable for industrial environments.

Applications

  • Critical machinery protection for turbines, compressors, and generators.
  • Condition monitoring and predictive maintenance in the oil and gas industry.
  • High-reliability monitoring in petrochemical and chemical processing plants.
  • Uninterrupted power supply for utility monitoring equipment in power generation.

Installation Guidelines

  • Ensure the 3500 rack is powered down or that a redundant supply is active before installation or removal.
  • The module must be installed in the designated power supply slots on the left side of the 3500 rack.
  • Always pair this module with the corresponding 114M5335-01 Power Input Module (PIM) located in the rear of the rack.
  • Maintain adequate airflow around the rack to ensure operating temperatures remain within the specified limits.
  • Handle with standard ESD precautions to prevent damage to sensitive internal components.

FAQ

What is the function of the 114M5330-01?

It is a Low Voltage DC Power Supply module that converts input power to the regulated DC voltages required by all other modules installed in the 3500 rack.

Can the 3500/15 power supply be hot-swapped?

Yes, the module supports hot-swapping. Removing or inserting the power supply does not disrupt rack operation as long as a second redundant power supply is installed.

What is the input voltage range for this module?

The 114M5330-01 is designed for an input range of 20 to 30 Vdc.
