Installation Guidelines

  • Ensure the ControlLogix chassis is properly mounted and grounded according to Rockwell Automation guidelines.
  • The power supply must be installed in the dedicated leftmost slot of the chassis.
  • Align the module's circuit board with the chassis card guides.
  • Slide the module until it is flush with the chassis and the backplane connector is fully seated.
  • Secure the module by tightening the top and bottom Phillips head screws to a torque of 0.8 N-m (7 lb-in).
  • Keep the protective label on the top vents during panel fabrication to prevent metal shavings from entering the unit.

FAQ

What is the input voltage range of the 1756-PA72?

The module supports a universal input range of 85-265V AC (nominal 120/240V AC) at 47-63 Hz.

Where should it be installed in the chassis?

The module must be installed in the leftmost slot of the ControlLogix chassis. This slot is dedicated to the power supply and does not occupy a standard I/O slot.

What is the maximum power output?

The total output power is 75 W at 0–60 degC. Ensure the combined power consumption of all modules in the chassis does not exceed the power supply's rated capacity.
