Product Description

The 3300/16-12-01-01-00-00-00 (P/N 145323-01) is a dual-channel monitoring module designed for the Bently Nevada 3300 System rack-based machinery protection architecture.

Unlike the earlier 3300/15 series, this module provides integrated XY radial vibration measurement combined with shaft-to-probe gap voltage monitoring, allowing engineers to evaluate both dynamic rotor movement and static shaft positioning inside fluid-film bearings.

Each channel operates independently and processes Proximitor sensor signals in real time. When vibration amplitudes or gap voltages exceed configured safety thresholds, the module triggers onboard relay-based hardware protection alarms to prevent mechanical damage.

Primary Application Scenarios

This module is widely deployed in high-value rotating machinery protection systems, including:

  • Steam turbines

  • Centrifugal pumps

  • Large industrial cooling fans

It is particularly effective for detecting:

  • Rotor imbalance

  • Shaft misalignment

  • Bearing wear and lubrication degradation

The module provides orbit-style diagnostic capability by tracking shaft radial motion relative to the bearing clearance space.

Engineering FAQ

Can the 3300/16-12-01-01-00-00-00 replace an old 3300/15 monitor?
Yes. The 3300/16 series is designed as a functional successor, maintaining the same rack footprint while improving gap alarm processing accuracy and signal stability.

What is the advantage of epoxy-sealed relays?
Epoxy sealing protects relay contacts from corrosive gases, moisture, and chemical contaminants, making the module suitable for refinery and petrochemical environments.
