  • Connector Handling: Use the gold-plated ClickLoc connectors. These are designed for finger-tight installation only. A distinct "click" indicates the connector is properly locked; do not use tools to tighten.
  • Wiring: Use 3-conductor shielded triad cable (16 to 24 AWG). The maximum distance between the Proximitor sensor and the monitoring system is 305 meters (1,000 feet).
  • Grounding: To prevent ground loops and electrical noise, ensure the cable shield is grounded at the monitor end only. Never ground both ends of the shield.
  • Handling: As a precision transducer, ensure the probe tip is free from debris and protected from physical impact during installation.
