Product Description

The 8200-1205 is a high-precision Digital Valve Positioner (DVP) developed by Woodward, Inc. for pneumatic actuator control in industrial process systems.

The module converts 4–20 mA control signals into precise valve positioning commands, ensuring stable regulation of process flow, pressure, and temperature variables. Its microprocessor-based control architecture minimizes hysteresis and mechanical deadband, delivering highly accurate and repeatable valve positioning performance.

The unit uses a non-contact inductive position sensor, eliminating mechanical wear associated with traditional potentiometer feedback systems. Combined with IP66-rated environmental protection and a wide thermal tolerance range, it is suitable for harsh industrial environments such as chemical plants, oil & gas facilities, and power generation plants.
