The 9907-147 is a safety protection module from Woodward Inc.’s ProTech 203 safety system. It is designed for overspeed protection of turbines, engines, and other rotating machinery.

The module continuously monitors magnetic pickup (MPU) speed signals and triggers emergency shutdown actions when overspeed or abnormal speed conditions are detected. Operating independently from the main governor control, it provides an additional layer of safety protection for high-inertia rotating equipment.

The ProTech 203 architecture supports triple-redundant logic configurations, enabling rapid protection response times typically under 40 ms, which is critical for preventing mechanical failure during sudden load rejection events.
