It provides two independent serial communication ports supporting RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces for connecting legacy field devices, including drives, meters, barcode scanners, and third-party instrumentation. The module supports Modbus RTU/ASCII and Character Mode protocols, enabling seamless integration of legacy automation equipment into modern control architectures.
