Product Description

The 8200-177 is a high-precision Digital Valve Positioner (DVP) developed by Woodward, Inc. for pneumatic actuator control in industrial process automation systems.

The module converts 4–20 mA analog or digital fieldbus commands into accurate mechanical valve positioning using microprocessor-based control algorithms. This significantly improves control loop stability, reduces hysteresis, and provides highly linear response characteristics for fuel, steam, and fluid regulation systems.

The device features integrated self-diagnostics, enabling continuous monitoring of actuator health, pneumatic pressure conditions, and internal electronics status.
